Chicken Pozole

Chicken pozole is a delicious Turkish dish, which is very beautifully served, and how delicious it is!

Ingredients

  • Chicken legs – 4 pcs.
  • Greek yoghurt – 2 tablespoons
  • Tomato ketchup – 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Seasoning for chicken – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Ground chilli pepper – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For serve

  • Lavash – 1 pc.
  • Red onion – 1 pc.
  • Vinegar – 1 tablespoon
  • Greens – 10 g
  • Lemon – 1 pc.

Directions

  1. Let’s prepare all the products for chicken pozole. You can use fresh tomatoes instead of ketchup or tomato sauce by grating their pulp.
  2. Let’s prepare the marinade. To do this, put unsweetened yoghurt and ketchup or tomato sauce in a bowl (you can replace it with the grated pulp of fresh tomatoes).
  3. Add seasoning for the chicken.
  4. Add ground chilli as you wish, if you like spicy dishes – add more pepper!
  5. Pass the garlic through a press and also add to the bowl to the marinade. If desired, you can replace fresh garlic with the dried ground. Mix well all the ingredients of the marinade. Add salt if necessary.
  6. Now let’s prepare the meat. Remove the skin from the chicken legs. Let’s make an incision at the bottom of the leg and clean off all the meat as shown in the photo, don’t cut the bone to the very end, the meat should remain on the bone.
  7. We beat off the chicken fillet with a kitchen hammer on both sides.
  8. We put the prepared chicken legs in the marinade and leave them there for at least 30 minutes, as long as possible.
  9. Prepare the onion to serve the dish. To do this, cut it into half rings, scald it with boiling water, salt the water and marinate in vinegar for 10 minutes.
  10. Fry chicken pozole either on the grill or in a grill pan, for 7-10 minutes on each side.
  11. Turkish chicken pozole is ready! Serve pozole with pita bread, pickled onions, lemon and herbs. For convenience, the bone is wrapped in foil.
