Cornucopia Open Pies with Potatoes and Mushrooms

We love these pies! Delicious, very easy to prepare and a lot! And most importantly, you can see what a filling! At home, this recipe is called pies-pies!

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • Flour – 450 g
  • Butter (cold) – 180 g
  • Milk (warm) – 75 ml
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Pressed yeast – 15 g
  • or dry yeast – or 1.5 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1 pinch

For filling:

  • Champignon mushrooms – 300 g
  • Potatoes (boiled) – 3 pcs.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Cheese (homemade) or regular mozzarella – 100 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Vegetable oil – for frying

To grease the pies:

  • Yolk – 1 pc.
  • Milk – 1 tbsp

Directions

  1. We activate yeast in warm milk by adding sugar and a couple of tablespoons of flour. Stir and let stand for 5 minutes.
  2. Rub the cold butter on a coarse grater into flour and grind into crumbs.
  3. Then we combine the crumb with dough, eggs and salt.
  4. We knead the dough.
    Knead such a dough for a couple of minutes and put it in the refrigerator under the film.
  5. Our filling is also gorgeous today: homemade cheese, mushrooms, onions and potatoes (pre-boiled and cooled).
    Peel the onion. My mushrooms.
  6. Cut the onion into cubes and fry in a pan in sunflower oil until golden brown.
  7. Cut the mushrooms into quarters and add to the onion. Fry over high heat until excess moisture evaporates from the mushrooms. Transfer to a bowl, let cool.
  8. Cut the potatoes into cubes and add to the mushrooms and onions.
  9. We also send chopped herbs, grated cheese, salt and black pepper there. Mix well.
  10. We turn on the oven, set the temperature to 200 degrees.
    We take out the dough from the refrigerator, separate half and roll it into a layer 3-4 mm thick.
  11. Cut out circles from the dough by cutting.
  12. Add filling to the center of the circle.
  13. We form pies in the form of a bag.
    We do this with the whole test.
  14. Put the pies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Before baking, grease the pies with yolk and milk.
  15. We bake pies with potatoes and mushrooms in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 10 minutes, until golden.
