Potato Pies with Meat

Potato pies or potato zrazy with boiled meat – it’s easy, fast enough, and very tasty! See for yourself!

Servings: 8

Ingredients

  • Potatoes – 1 kg
  • Boiled meat (pork, veal, or chicken) – 500 g
  • Bulb onions – 1-2 pcs.
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Flour – 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil – 3-4 tbsp
  • Sour cream (for serving) – to taste

Directions

  1. Pass the boiled meat through a meat grinder.
  2. Boil potatoes in their skins. Clear.
  3. While still warm, pass the boiled potatoes through a meat grinder. Add eggs, salt, pepper, flour. Mix everything well.
  4. Peel the onion, cut into cubes. Heat a frying pan, pour in vegetable oil (1 tablespoon). Saute the onion for 5-7 minutes. Add minced meat to the pan with onions and fry everything together, stirring occasionally, for another 5 minutes. Add salt and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Form potatoes with minced meat. Take small pieces of potato dough and spread them into a flat cake with wet hands. Put the minced meat in the middle of each flat cake. Form a cutlet of any shape.
  6. Preheat a frying pan, pour in vegetable oil. Place the stuffed potato cutlets in the pan.
  7. Fry potatoes with meat over medium heat until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes on each side.
  8. Serve potato zrazy-pies with sour cream. Enjoy your meal!
