The recipe for the most delicious homemade shawarma with chicken, cabbage, pickled cucumbers, tomato and cheese, dressed with a delicious sauce. A very tasty and quick shawarma recipe at home. Real jam!

  • Lavash – 4 pcs.
  • Chicken breast – 2 pcs. (350 g)
  • Hard cheese – 150 g
  • Tomato – 1 pc.
  • Pickled cucumbers – 100 g
  • Red cabbage – 60 g
  • Peking cabbage – 150 g
  • Vegetable oil – 50 ml
  • Mustard – 100 g
  • Mayonnaise – 100 g
  • Ketchup – 50 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper – to taste
  • Spices to taste


  1. To prepare homemade chicken shawarma with tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage and cheese, we prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list.
  2. We marinate the chicken fillet in spices on both sides.
  3. We put it in heated vegetable oil.
  4. Fry over low heat on each side for 7.5 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Cut the Chinese cabbage into small strips.
  6. Cut the red cabbage in the same way.
  7. Cut the cucumbers lengthwise into 4 parts.
  8. Cut the tomatoes into semicircles, after removing the hard core.
  9. Three cheese on a coarse grater.
  10. Let’s start making shawarma sauce. Mix mustard with mayonnaise and ketchup.
  11. Cut the fillet into thin slices.
  12. We start collecting shawarma. We unfold the pita bread and spread the assorted cabbage and chicken breast in the center.
  13. Put cucumbers and tomatoes on top.
  14. Pour the sauce and sprinkle with cheese.
  15. We wrap it in a roll, tucking the edges.
  16. In the same way, we prepare 3 more shawarmas with chicken.
  17. We send it to the oven on the grill grate and cook the shawarma with chicken for 5 minutes at a temperature of 220 degrees.
