Ingredients

  • 450 g leek, cut into fine strips
  • 200 g carrot (s), rated
  • 100 g celery, rated
  • 100 g kohlrabi, rated
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon water, cold
  • 70 g crushed wheat, or crushed wheat
  • 100 g breadcrumbs
  • 150 g cheddar cheese, rated
  • 1 egg (s)
  • Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon thyme, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon marjoram, finely chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • Flour to work with

Instructions

  1. Cook all the vegetables with the oil and water in a pan until they are al dente. Then let it cool down.
  2. Then mix in the flour and breadcrumbs well and add the remaining ingredients. The mixture should be firm. Now shape meatballs with floured hands and fry them in the pan on both sides. Optionally, the meatballs can also be baked on both sides in the oven. I personally prefer the pan.
  3. A little tip: if the mixture is too mushy, simply use more breadcrumbs or crushed wheat. Sheep cheese can also be used instead of cheddar cheese.
