Palak Panir

Superb Indian food. Its name reflects the main ingredients – palak, which translates as spinach, and paneer is a delicious Indian cheese.

Ingredients

  • Spinach – 600 Grams
  • Panir Cheese – 300 Grams
  • Green Chili – 2 Pieces
  • Butter – 2 Tbsp. spoons
  • Vegetable oil – 6 Art. spoons
  • Chopped garlic – 1 Tbsp. the spoon
  • Chopped ginger – 1 Tbsp. the spoon
  • Lime juice – 1 Tbsp. the spoon
  • Cream – 1 Tbsp. the spoon
  • Cumin – 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt – To taste

Directions

  1. Wash and chop the spinach.
  2. Put it in boiling water, boil for 3 minutes, and then put it in a colander and refrigerate.
  3. Chop the green chili and blend with the spinach in a blender.
  4. Cut the paneer into cubes and fry in vegetable oil until golden brown. Then place it on a paper towel to drain off excess fat.
  5. Melt the butter in a skillet, toss in the cumin seeds, then add the chopped ginger and garlic.
  6. Fry for about three minutes, add spinach puree and a little water to the pan. Bring to a boil.
  7. Toss the paneer into the boiling mixture and add the lime juice. Stir and after 4 minutes leave and pour in the cream. Sprinkle the finished palak paneer with fresh coriander and serve with boiled crumbly rice and bread
