Ingredients

  • 250 g chicken breast or turkey breast
  • 1 ½ bell pepper (s), red or yellow
  • 1 small onion (s)
  • 1 clove (s) garlic (more to taste)
  • 1 scoop mozzarella (if you prefer light)
  • Crème fraîche (preferably light)
  • 1 roll (s) puff pastry
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly herbs, Mediterranean, your choice
  • 1 egg yolk

Instructions

  1. Cut the bell pepper, onion, mozzarella and chicken or turkey into small pieces. Add salt and pepper to taste (other Mediterranean herbs such as basil or oregano are also welcome), squeeze in the garlic and let it steep for about 10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry and brush with crème fraîche (leave about 2 - 3 cm at the top and bottom to be able to close the roll). Season a little more salt and pepper, then generously distribute the solid filling and roll up the roll with the help of the enclosed parchment paper and press the ends of the roll together. Then brush the roll with egg yolk.
  4. Put in the oven for about 35 minutes at 200 ° C (unfortunately I only have a gas oven, not that easy, so I set it to level 5 - 6 - see result).
  5. Wonderfully simple and very light in taste - almost summery.
