  • 2 kg roast pork, boneless
  • 1 large onion (s)
  • 2 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic granules
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder, noble sweet

Instructions

  1. Dig a hole approx. 60 cm in diameter and approx. 60 cm deep. Line the bottom and the lower part of the hole with stones. Put on a fire in it so that you get a lot of embers; the more the better. This takes about 2 hours.
  2. In the meantime, prepare the meat. Place 4 pieces of aluminum foil overlapping on a worktop and brush with margarine. Season the roast with the spices and place in the center of the aluminum foil. Peel the onion, cut into slices and spread on the roast. Now wrap the roast in aluminum foil and wrap it tightly with aluminum foil two or three times.
  3. Shovel the embers out of the earth oven, place the roast in it and cover with plenty of embers. Cover everything with the shoveled earth. After 2 hours carefully dig up the roast and remove the first layers of aluminum foil. In the kitchen you remove the rest.
  4. Fried potatoes or baked potatoes go well with this.
