Ingredients

  • 500 g beef roulade (s) cut into fine strips
  • 4 onion (s), cut into thin crescents
  • 200 g bacon, diced
  • 2 pickles, diced
  • 2 tablespoon mustard
  • 750 ml broth
  • 150 ml red wine
  • possibly porcini mushrooms, dried, previously soaked in water
  • possibly cornstarch
  • possibly cream
  • oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Fry the roulade strips in portions in hot oil and take them out of the pan.
  2. Put the bacon in the pan and let it grumble. Then add the onions and fry the whole thing a little. Then add the roulade strips again and deglaze the whole thing with the red wine and the stock. Now add the pickles and possibly the soaked porcini mushrooms with the liquid. Stir in the mustard and season with salt and pepper. Let it simmer over a low flame until the meat is soft. If necessary, thicken the whole thing with a little cornstarch and refine with cream.
  3. Noodles, spaetzle, boiled potatoes or just a slice of bread also taste great, and if you like red cabbage. If children also eat, you can leave out the red wine and replace it with broth.
