Tartlets with Cod Liver and Melted Cheese

A quick recipe for a cod liver appetizer with melted cheese and fresh cucumber. The appetizer turns out to be very tasty, melted cheese perfectly softens the rich taste of cod liver. Thanks to its effective serving in tartlets, this appetizer will be an excellent option for a buffet table!

Ingredients

  • Cod liver – 100 g
  • Processed cheese – 100 g
  • Sand tartlets (small) – 16 pcs. (total weight 160 g)
  • Fresh cucumber – 0.5 pcs. (100 g)
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Prepare all the ingredients you need. It is very important to choose a quality processed cheese with a creamy taste.
  2. Transfer the cod liver to a bowl and mash with a fork.
  3. Add processed cheese grated on a fine grater to the cod liver.
  4. Add a pinch of salt and black pepper to taste. Stir the cod liver into the cheese thoroughly.
  5. Place the tartlets on a plate and fill with the cod liver and cream cheese appetizer. (It is better to use shortcrust pastry tartlets rather than waffle baskets. Shortbread tartlets are tastier and do not soak as quickly from the filler.)
  6. Cut the cucumber into semicircles. Garnish the cod liver tartlets with cucumber slices.
  7. Tartlets with cod liver and cream cheese are ready.
