Vanilla Pudding with Fresh Strawberry Jam

Delicious and airy dessert for guests, for two or just for yourself.

Ingredients

  • Water – 0.3 tablespoon.
  • Sugar – 9 tbsp
  • Strawberries – 2 tablespoon
  • Gelatin – 2 teaspoon
  • Milk – 1.25 tablespoon
  • Vanilla sugar – 1 pack
  • Buttermilk – 2 tablespoon.
  • Fresh mint – to taste

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water and 3 tbsp sugar. Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes, until sugar dissolves. Add 1 cup chopped strawberries and cook for 10 minutes, until the strawberries are tender. Mash the berries with a fork, remove from heat and add the remaining chopped strawberries. Transfer to a bowl, cover and refrigerate.
  2. Pour milk into a saucepan, put on low heat for 10 minutes. Add gelatin, stir constantly, until gelatin dissolves. Add vanilla sugar. Increase heat slightly and add remaining sugar, stirring until dissolved.
  3. Remove from heat, add buttermilk. Divide into 6 small glasses, cover and chill vanilla pudding for 6 hours. Place 3 tablespoons of jam on top of each before serving and garnish the vanilla pudding with mint sprigs.
