Bobele (Potato Casserole)

This recipe is really budget – from the available products that are always in the refrigerator. This potato casserole or potato pie is a great option for a hearty meal without meat. Cooking is easy and can be served hot or cold. Delicious with pickles. I really like this cake cold, and children love it hot. It will be interesting to know your opinion after cooking.

Ingredients
- Potatoes – 600 g
- Flour – 200 g
- Eggs – 2 pcs.
- Bulb onions – 2 pcs.
- Warm water – about 70 ml
- Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp
- Dry yeast – 7 g
- Sugar – 1 teaspoon
- Salt – 1 teaspoon
- Ground black pepper – 0.5 teaspoon
Directions
- First of all, let’s prepare the dough. In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, dry yeast, and 1 tablespoon. a spoonful of flour. Stir with a whisk and set aside for 15 minutes, let the dough fit.
- Rub the potatoes on a coarse grater.
- Add eggs, salt, pepper, and some vegetable oil to the dough (we will leave a little for frying onions). We mix everything. Add potatoes and flour. We knead the dough.
- Cut the onion into half rings. Fry the onions in the remaining vegetable oil. Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees.
- Putting together the casserole. On the bottom of a greased baking dish, spread half of the fried onion, then the potato dough, again the onion and the remaining potato dough.
- We send the form to the oven, preheated to 170-180 degrees. Bake for about 40 minutes (use your oven).
