Ingredients

  • 400 g minced beef
  • 2 medium onion (s)
  • salt and pepper
  • 8 slices ham, raw, unsmoked
  • 200 g Brussels sprouts, cooked

For the filling: (tomato filling)

  • 4 small tomato (s)
  • 12 half tomatoes, dried, in oil
  • 4 tablespoon cheese (Emmentaler), grated
  • 3 tablespoon parmesan, grated
  • 1 clove garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Cook the Brussels sprouts in salted water, cut the onion into cubes and fry until translucent. Season the minced meat with salt, pepper and the onions.
  2. Spread out the ham in 4 portions next to each other, slightly overlapping, and distribute the mince on top. Leave a margin of about 0.5 cm at the top and bottom. Spread the Brussels sprouts in the middle of the mince, approx. 3-4 florets per roll.
  3. Now shape the ham with mince into a roll and place in a baking dish. Cook in the oven at 180 ° C for about 20 minutes.
  4. It goes well with baguette and a light tomato sauce.
  5. Tomato filling:
  6. Core the tomatoes and cut into cubes, drain the dried tomatoes and dice them as well. Process with garlic, cheese and spices to a crumbly mass, add some breadcrumbs if necessary. Spread across the center of the mince, then shape into rolls and cook in the oven.
