Khachapuri in Imeretian Style

The Imeretian-style khachapuri recipe was sent to me by my subscriber Elena N. Delicious flat cakes with Adyghe cheese. Delicious, fast and very simple. The dough is soft and manageable. Definitely, I will cook more than once! Try it!

Cook:1 hour 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Any pickled cheese (I have “Adyghe”) – 400 g
  • Flour – 250 g (sifted!)
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Sour cream 20% – 200 g
  • Salt – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Butter – 50 g

Directions

  1. Prepare the dough for Imeretian khachapuri. To do this, add egg white, vegetable oil, salt and sour cream to the sifted flour. Knead the dough with sour cream. Put the dough in a bag and leave for 30 minutes.
  2. For the filling, grate the cheese or crush with a fork. Add the yolk and 2 teaspoon. butter. Mix.
  3. Roll out the dough, lay out the filling, collect the edges. Turn seam down and roll out again.
  4. Fry cakes with cheese in a dry frying pan.
  5. Grease the finished cakes with melted butter
  6. Khachapuri in Imeretian style is ready!
