“Pavlova” Meringue Cake with Whipped Cream and Berries

Amazing and quite easy to prepare summer dessert. The cake is topped with whipped cream, which goes well with the meringue flavor, and garnished with fruit or berries. A simple delicious cake recipe!

Ingredients

For cakes:

  • Egg whites – 4 pcs.
  • Small sugar – 225 g
  • Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cinnamon – 1 teaspoon
  • Corn starch – 1 teaspoon

For decoration:

  • Cream – 250 ml
  • Powdered sugar – 1 tbsp + for sprinkling berries
  • Fresh berries – 150 g

Directions

  1. Prepare the required foods.
  2. Separate the whites from the yolks very carefully. Pour proteins into a bowl, you can add a pinch of salt and beat at first until a light air mass is obtained.
  3. Gradually add sugar to the proteins in 2-3 doses and beat until stable peaks and complete dissolution of sugar. When stable peaks are reached, pour in lemon juice. Add cornstarch and cinnamon and stir.
  4. Divide the resulting protein mass into approximately two equal parts. Put half of the protein mass on the parchment and smooth to form a circle with a diameter of 20 cm. Carefully make a smooth surface.
  5. Also lay out the second half of the protein mass, but arrange in the form of small peaks.
  6. Send the whipped egg whites to dry in an oven preheated to 150 degrees for 1 hour.
  7. After drying, allow the cakes to cool completely.
  8. While the cakes are cooling, prepare the cream. Pour the chilled heavy cream into a cold container and beat until creamy.
  9. Separate the cooled cakes from the parchment.
    Put some of the whipped cream on a flat crust, add some berries.
  10. Top with a cake with spikes.
  11. Put whipped cream in the middle of the top crust and berries on top. Sprinkle the berries with icing sugar.
