Pie with Onions and Corn Chips

Recipe for cooking in the oven pie stuffed with onions and cheese. The cake is cooked without flour because corn chips are an excellent substitute for it in this onion cheese pie recipe.

Ingredients

  • Corn chips, chopped – 1 glass
  • Onions – 0.6 kg
  • Bulgarian pepper – 0.5 pcs.
  • Eggs – 3 pcs.
  • Hard cheese – 150 g
  • Milk – 1 glass
  • Ground nutmeg – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper
  • Olive oil – 6 tbsp + for the form

Directions

  1. Mash the corn chips into small crumbs.
  2. Separate the white and yolk of one egg.
  3. In one glass of chips crumbs, add the protein of 1 egg, 4 tbsp olive oil and mix thoroughly.
  4. Grease a baking dish with olive oil and distribute the resulting mixture of chips evenly. Bake the cake for 5 minutes in the oven at 190 degrees.
  5. Cut the onion into thin half-rings.
  6. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet. Fry the onions.
  7. Cut half of the bell pepper into narrow strips. Add to the onion and fry for 5-7 minutes.
  8. Place the onion and pepper on the crust.
  9. Pour into a bowl 1 cup milk, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup grated cheese, 1/4 teaspoon. nutmeg, pepper, mix thoroughly.
  10. Pour the mixture over the fried onion, sprinkle with 1/2 cup grated cheese on top. Bake for 30 minutes in the oven at 170 degrees.
  11. Allow the onion cheesecake to cool and remove from the mold. The onion and cheese pie is ready.
