Potato Pancakes with Cheese and Sour Cream

A simple recipe for potato pancakes with sour cream and cheese. Adding sour cream and cheese to grated potatoes, as well as onions and herbs makes the usual pancakes even tastier. Such rosy potato pancakes do not take long to cook and are suitable even for breakfast.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes (peeled) – 500 g
  • Hard cheese – 100 g
  • Onions (1 pc.) – 80 g
  • Sour cream – 80 g
  • Wheat flour – 50 g
  • Ground turmeric – a pinch
  • Ground curry – pinch
  • Ground paprika – pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – a pinch
  • Fresh parsley – 2-3 sprigs
  • Fresh dill – 2-3 branches
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) – 3-5 tbsp

Directions

  1. Grate cheese and onions on a fine grater.
  2. Peel the potatoes and coarsely grate into a deep bowl.
  3. Add sour cream and stir.
  4. Add onion and cheese. Rinse parsley and dill, dry, chop finely with a knife, and also send to a bowl. Season with salt, pepper and add turmeric, curry, and paprika. Mix well.
  5. Pour flour in portions, stirring.
  6. You should get a homogeneous mass.
  7. Heat the oil well in a skillet. Put the potato mass in a frying pan with a tablespoon and press lightly on top, forming flat pancakes.
  8. Fry the pancakes over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes, until golden brown. Then turn over and fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  9. Ruddy potato pancakes with sour cream and cheese are ready. Serve potato pancakes to the table, adding sour cream or other sauces, chopped herbs, or just eat it – it will be delicious anyway. Bon Appetit!
