River Fish Roe Pancakes

I bought fresh fish, and they’re – a surprise, a full belly of caviar. We fry a delicacy – fritters from river fish caviar. Great appetizer.

Cook: 20 minutes

Servings: 3

Ingredients

  • River fish caviar (carp, silver carp) – 200 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Semolina – 1-2 tbsp
  • Flour – 3-4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh dill (optional) – 3-4 branches
  • Vegetable oil – 1-2 tbsp (for frying)

How to cook fritters from river fish caviar:

Directions

  1. Place the caviar in a bowl, beat with a fork.
  2. Add the egg, salt and pepper. Add semolina and flour. Finely chop the dill and add to a bowl. Beat everything well. Leave on for 10 minutes.
  3. Preheat a frying pan, pour in vegetable oil. Put pancakes in hot oil with a spoon. First fry the fish roe pancakes on one side over medium heat until golden brown (about 2 minutes).
  4. Then turn the pancakes over and fry on the other side until golden brown.
    So fry all the fish roe pancakes.
  5. River fish roe pancakes are ready. Serve warm or cold, with vegetable salad, mashed potatoes or fried potatoes.
