Ingredients

  • 350 g turkey breast fillet (s)
  • 1 red pepper (s)
  • 2 onions)
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • 130 g mushrooms
  • 2 potato (s)
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 200 g whipped cream
  • 200 ml meat broth
  • salt and pepper
  • Caraway seed
  • Paprika powder or chilli flakes

Instructions

  1. Peel the onions. Clean and roughly chop the bell pepper. Press the garlic. Clean and halve the mushrooms. Peel the potatoes and cut into strips. Cut the turkey into bite-sized pieces and season (or buy it marinated right away).
  2. Mix the broth and cream together. Mix the onions with the bell pepper, mushrooms and garlic. Season with salt, caraway seeds and pepper and spread on the plate of the tagine. Then place the potatoes and the pieces of meat on top. Then season that again to taste (be careful with the chilli). Then pour the broth and cream over the whole thing. Put on the lid of the tajine dish and place the whole thing on the underframe filled with charcoal, in which the charcoal has already been made to glow vigorously. After a good 30 minutes of cooking, remove the lid and place the egg on top. Close the lid again and let it cook again for approx. 15 minutes.
  3. There is also original couscous.
  4. Note: The recipe is of course not Moroccan. But you can try and experiment a lot with different ingredients. It is also nice to be able to use holiday souvenirs at home in a meaningful way.
