Apple Manna with Sour Cream

Ingredients

  • Apples – 800 g
  • Sour cream – 100 g
  • Semolina – 60 g + for form preparation
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Sugar – 40 g
  • Butter – 60 g + for form preparation
  • Salt – a pinch

Directions

  1. Such apple manna on sour cream is prepared very quickly, so it is best to turn on the oven in advance to warm up to a temperature of 180 degrees.
  2. Wash, dry, cut the apples, and remove the core. Grate apples on a medium grater. Squeeze out the released juice, and put the grated apples into a deep bowl. Add sour cream and sugar.
  3. Melt the butter in any convenient way and pour it into a bowl. Break the eggs and separate the whites from the yolks. Send the yolks to a bowl, and set the whites aside for a while.
  4. Add semolina. To stir thoroughly.
  5. Add a pinch of salt to the egg whites and beat on medium mixer speed for about 3-4 minutes, until soft peaks.
  6. In portions, stirring from top to bottom each time, add the whipped egg whites to the apple-semolina mass.
  7. The “dough” for apple manna should be not too liquid, very airy and fall off the spoon in a “lump”.
  8. Grease a baking dish with the remaining butter and sprinkle with semolina. Place the apple “dough” in a mold and flatten. Bake the manna in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 25-30 minutes.
  9. Juicy and moist apple manna with sour cream is ready. It remains only to cool it slightly right in the form, cut into portions, and serve.
