Cherry Puffs

Puffs made from ready-made yeast-puff pastry stuffed with fresh cherries are an excellent option for homemade baking. Cherry puffs according to this recipe are very tasty, they will surely be appreciated by both your family members and guests.

Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • Ready-made dough, puff yeast – 500 g
  • Sweet cherry – 300 g
  • Brown sugar – 6 tbsp
  • Starch – 6 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Prepare the necessary ingredients for making the cherry puffs.
  2. Wash the sweet cherry, cut each berry in half and peel it.
  3. Divide each layer of puff pastry into 6 strips and roll out into rectangles, about 15 by 20 cm in size. From the whole dough, you should get 6 such rectangles.
  4. Place a serving of berries on the edge of each rectangle.
  5. Sprinkle each serving with a tablespoon of sugar and a teaspoon of starch.
  6. Roll the filled dough rectangles into neat rolls and cut the top with a sharp knife.
  7. You will have 6 identical layers. (I usually do not grease puff pastry with an egg, as it rises less when baking, but you can.) Place the puffs on baking paper and place in a preheated 200-degree oven for about 20 minutes.
  8. When the cherry puffs become golden brown, they are ready! Remove them from the oven and cool on the table.
