- Finely slice the young white cabbage, chop the cucumber, spring onions and dill, season with salt, vinegar and oil. Comments: This salad is not kneaded, so only young white cabbage or pointed cabbage is suitable for this, both have a delicate structure in contrast to the mature white cabbage. A typical summer salad in Ukrainian cuisine. Instead of cucumbers, the Ukraine uses small pickled cucumbers, fresh ones of course, not pickled ones. In Ukrainian cuisine, such salads are definitely not seasoned with sugar!
