Ingredients

For the sprinkles:

  • 100 g flour
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 2 packs vanilla sugar
  • 1 teaspoon, leveled cinnamon powder
  • 75 g butter, soft

For the dough:

  • 150 grams flour
  • 1 pck. Pudding powder, (vanilla pudding powder)
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 120 g butter, soft
  • 60 g suar
  • 1 egg (s)

For covering:

  • 400 ml milk
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 pck. Pudding powder, (vanilla pudding powder)
  • 500 g apples, preferably Jonaold or Boskop
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. First make the crumble. Mix well the flour, 2 sachets of vanilla sugar, sugar and cinnamon. It is best to soften the butter in the microwave for about 15-20 seconds. Can be liquid, but not too hot. Then add these to the dry ingredients and process with a hand mixer with dough hook for so long that crumble is formed. Then put the streusel in the fridge.
  2. Prepare the dough:
  3. Mix the flour, pudding powder and baking powder together. Soften the butter again. Mix the sugar and egg in a bowl with the hand mixer and calmly with the dough hook and add the butter. Mix further. Add the flour mixture and knead until you have a homogeneous mass.
  4. Grease a springform pan with margarine or butter. Also a few inches high at the edge. Now lay out the dough evenly on the floor. Do not pull up the edge. Tastes better in my opinion, but it`s not a requirement. Now put the springform pan in the refrigerator as well.
  5. For the topping, make 1 packet of vanilla pudding with 400 ml instead of 500 ml milk. Mix the pudding powder with some cold milk, bring the rest of the milk to the boil, stir in the mixed powder and bring to the boil. Then let it cool down a little in cold, preferably ice water.
  6. In the meantime, peel and core 500 g apples and cut into wedges. Then put in a plastic bag and mix with approx. 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Shake well.
  7. Now distribute the vanilla pudding on the dough in the springform pan and cover with the apple wedges in a ring up to the middle. Quiet, pretty tight. Loosen the crumbles a little with a fork and distribute them on the apples. Now place the springform pan on a rack on the middle rail and bake at 180 ° C top / bottom heat for 35-40 minutes.
