Ingredients

  • 500 g spelled flour
  • 1 packet tartar baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 10 bay leaves
  • 50 g sesame seeds
  • 50 g butter
  • 350 ml milk
  • 150 g sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon honey, or agave syrup
  • Butter, for the mold

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C top and bottom heat. Grease 3 rectangular cake tins with butter.
  2. Chop the bay leaves into small pieces. Mix well with the flour, tartar baking powder, sea salt and sesame seeds in a bowl. Add the butter and mix with a hand mixer. Then add the milk, sour cream and agave syrup or honey and continue to knead into a smooth dough.
  3. Pour the dough into the tins in three equal portions.
  4. Place 2 bay leaves on each of the loaves. Bake the breads side by side in the oven on the middle rack for approx. 25 minutes. (Stick test)
