Fruit Slicing “Rooster Tail”

On Christmas Day, you can decorate the table with dishes like a rooster. We offer to arrange fruit slices in the form of a rooster’s tail because the fruits are as bright as the feathers of this bird. Serve the fruit in this way and you will see that the children will eat the fruit faster than you put them out.

Ingredients

  • Banana – 2 pcs.
  • Orange – 2 pcs.
  • Large grapefruit – 1 pc.
  • Big red apple – 1 pc.
  • Pears – 2 pcs.
  • Kiwi – 2 pcs.
  • Mint – for decoration

Directions

  1. Wash the pears and apples well, because we will leave their peels and will not cut them off. Cut them in half and use a knife to remove seeds and cuttings. Peel the kiwi completely with a knife or vegetable peeler.
  2. Peel the bananas. Remove the peel from grapefruit and orange and peel the white part of the peel more thoroughly from the citrus fruits, as it is bitter.
  3. Put the banana cut into thin slices on a plate and bend it slightly in an arc, distributing it along the length of the plate.
  4. To the left and right of the banana, layout the rooster tail feathers from the pear, which has been chopped and distributed in the same way.
  5. Then comes a rooster tail feather, laid out from a thinly sliced ​​apple with bright red skin.
  6. Layout the green kiwi with the finishing feathers.
  7. Layout the body, neck, and head of the rooster with orange slices.
  8. Slices of grapefruit, completely cleared of membranes, complete the composition, they can be used to layout the comb and decorate the neck.
  9. Mint leaves will decorate our rooster and give the fruit slices a festive look.
  10. Christmas dessert in the form of a rooster’s tail is ready.
