  • 200 g cheese, Limburer
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 10 tablespoon vinegar, (red wine vinegar)
  • 5 tablespoon oil
  • 100 ml water, approx.
  • 1 pinch (s) sugar
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut the Limburger into strips. Cut the onion into very fine rings. Mix vinegar, oil, water and sugar and season well with salt and pepper. Fold the cheese and onion rings into the marinade. Let it steep in the refrigerator for at least two hours.
  2. A hearty farmer`s bread and a cold beer go well with it.
