“Jumping” Buns (“Lazy” Eclairs)

A very simple and quick recipe for popovers – “jumping out” buns. Airy popover buns resemble choux pastries, hollow inside, they can be filled with any filling. The minimum amount of ingredients is the maximum result of the excellent crispy rolls.

Ingredients

  • Flour – 400 g
  • Milk – 500 ml
  • Eggs – 4 pcs.
  • Butter – 2-3 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • or sugar (for sweet buns) – 100-150 g
  • Filling (optional) – to taste

Directions

  1. Let’s prepare the ingredients for the bouncing buns (lazy eclairs).
    We also need silicone molds, a whisk, a sieve, and deep dishes.
    We turn on the oven and heat it up to 230 degrees.
  2. Break 4 eggs into a deep container and beat with a whisk.
  3. Add milk and melted butter.
  4. Gradually introduce sifted flour.
  5. Half fill the silicone molds with dough and place on a baking sheet.
  6. We send the baking sheet to the oven and bake the “jumping out” buns for 15 minutes at a temperature of 230 degrees. Then reduce the temperature to 180 degrees and bake for another 15 minutes.
  7. Popovers are ready.
  8. Airy popover buns can be filled with liver filling, and can also be used as buttercream, buttercream, or protein custard filling for sweet buns.
    Also, “bouncing” buns can be served without filling, for example, as bread for first courses.
