Kebabs of Sausages, Apples and Peppers

The spontaneous desire to cook barbecue raises the question: what kind of marinade to make? For such cases, I propose a recipe for simple but delicious kebabs from sausages, apples and bell peppers. Such kebabs do not require preliminary preparation – they strung everything on skewers and fried on the grill.

Ingredients

  • Sausages (cut into pieces of 3 cm) – 450 g
  • Apples (sliced) – 2 pcs.
  • Bulgarian red pepper, medium size (cut into squares 2.5 cm) – 1 pc.
  • Bulgarian green pepper, medium size (cut into squares 2.5 cm) – 1 pc.
  • Sugar – 1/4 cup
  • Cornstarch – 1 tbsp
  • Cranberry juice – 3/4 cup
  • Apple cider vinegar – 2 tbsp
  • Soy sauce – 2 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Combine sugar and starch in a saucepan, pour cranberry juice, vinegar and soy sauce.
    Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until lightly thickened, 1-2 minutes.
  2. Turn on the grill to preheat to medium heat.
  3. On metal or wooden (soaked) skewers, string sausages, apples and peppers in turn.
  4. Put the kebabs on the grill grate and fry, without covering the grill with a lid, for about 8 minutes, periodically turning over and smearing the sausage kebabs with cranberry marinade.
