Ingredients

  • 400 g butter
  • 400 g suar
  • 7 egg (s)
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 500g flour
  • a bit salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoon vanilla flavor, as desired
  • Fat, for the shape

Instructions

  1. Grease a shape (26 cm or 23 cm) and line it with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 180 °.
  2. Whip the butter and sugar creamy, then add the eggs and stir until smooth. Sift the flour and baking powder and fold in a little salt. Pour in the dough and smooth it out.
  3. Bake for about 1 1/4 hours - needle test!
  4. Take out of the oven and let cool down for about 15 minutes, then turn out onto a kitchen rack and let cool down.
  5. Very variable and well suited for motif cakes. Well suited for freezing.
  6. Variations:
  7. - Replace a quarter of the flour with the same weight of finely ground nuts.
  8. - Add 4 tablespoons of poppy, sesame or other seeds.
  9. - Add 1 pack of Zitroback or Orange Baking.
