Master’s Steak (in Polish)

We have a preconceived attitude towards chopped steaks with refried eggs since the days of catering. But steak is not always minced meat and there are a lot of recipes for its preparation. Today I propose one of the simplest, but delicious – beef steak with egg.

Ingredients

  • Beef – 500 g
  • Onions – 400-500 g
  • Eggs – 5 pcs.
  • Flour – 2 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil – 4 tbsp (you can choose another fat)
  • Butter – 1 tbsp
  • Salt

Directions

  1. How to make a beef steak:
    For 4-5 servings you need 0.5 kg of boneless beef. The ideal option for making a steak is tenderloin. Take more onion too, it then fries very much. No spices, just salt. A little more flour to roll on the steaks. And one egg per serving. Choose the fat you will fry on. I took sunflower oil and butter for the eggs.
  2. Wash the meat, peel off the films and cut across the fibers into thick slices up to 2.5 cm. Beat the slices with a damp hoe along the cut surface, but not too much, if necessary, trim them around the edges and shape them into circles up to 1.5 cm thick. Roll in flour. Season with salt just before roasting.
    Peel the onion, cut into rings or half rings, brown in fat. Remove the fried onions from the pan, heat the fat strongly and fry the steaks over high heat for 3-5 minutes on each side, so that a golden brown crust forms on the outside. Under the rules of the steak to be pink inside, but every woman herself determines the duration of roasting.
  3. Place the steaks in the pan so that there are gaps between them. Put the fried onions back in the pan between the steaks and put in the oven for 5-7 minutes, heated to no more than 150 degrees.
    Heat butter in a special or any other frying pan and cook with fried eggs. Put the scrambled eggs on the steaks.
  4. You can serve steaks with an egg in a skillet, you can put on a dish and garnish with fried onions and vegetables.Enjoy your meal!
