Ingredients

  • 500 g minced beef
  • 1 roll
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ black pepper
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • 200 g cheese (Gouda)
  • 1 kg potato (s)
  • 2 teaspoons Provence herbs
  • 400 ml cream
  • 2 teaspoons mustard

Instructions

  1. Soak the roll in water for about 10 minutes, then squeeze out well. Mix the minced meat with the bread roll, mustard, egg, spices and finely chopped parsley. Shape the meat dough into a rectangular loaf. Cut the cheese into thick strips and press a little lengthways in the middle of the meat loaf. Cut the peeled potatoes into quarters or eighths and place around the meat in a roaster. Season well with pepper and salt. Pour the cream over the potatoes. Sprinkle the herbs of Provence on top. Fry in the lower part of the oven at 200 ° C for a good 60 minutes until golden brown.
