Panna Cotta with Strawberry Sauce

Panna Cotta is a delicate Italian dessert, the name of which is translated as “boiled cream”, but it is a cold dessert made from cream with gelatin. Panna cotta is served with a sweet sauce such as strawberry.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Cream 20% – 300 ml
  • Milk – 100 ml
  • Sugar – 50 g
  • Vanilla sugar – 2 teaspoon
  • Gelatin – 10 g
  • Water – 50 ml
  • Fresh mint leaves (for decoration) – 6 pcs.

    For the strawberry sauce:

  • Strawberries (frozen) – 200 g
  • Powdered sugar – 50 g

Directions

  1. Soak gelatin in cold water.
  2. In a saucepan, combine cream, milk, sugar, vanilla sugar and bring to a boil.
  3. Add prepared gelatin to the hot mixture, mix well.
  4. Strain the resulting mixture through a sieve.
  5. Pour the creamy milk mixture into molds and refrigerate for 3 hours.
  6. Chop thawed strawberries and strain through a sieve to remove seeds.
  7. Add powdered sugar to the puree and mix well.
  8. Remove the frozen milk-cream jelly from the refrigerator. Top the panna cotta with strawberry sauce and garnish with mint leaves or strawberries.
