Ingredients

  • 500 g flour, wheat flour
  • 500 g corn flour, finely round
  • 1 packet yeast
  • 850 ml water
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Crumble the yeast in the lukewarm water. Then mix all the ingredients and knead for about 5 minutes until the dough no longer sticks to your hands. Let rise covered in a warm place for about 30 minutes. Then knead briefly and form a loaf of bread. Dust the loaf and oven tray with flour and bake in the preheated oven (200 ° C). Use a toothpick to check whether the dough is still sticking. If not, the bread is ready.
  2. Tip: You can do a lot more with this basic recipe. For example, you can put a sardine or chopped bacalhau with onions and olive oil in the bread before baking. Tastes great!
