  • 1 large pumpkin (se)
  • 300 g suar
  • 200 g walnuts

Instructions

  1. Peel the pumpkin and cut into thin slices (about 1 cm thick). Layer the slices alternately with walnuts and sugar in a large saucepan. Finally, cover with a layer of sugar.
  2. The sugar information is only a guideline! The pumpkin just needs to be well covered with sugar.
  3. Heat the pumpkin over medium heat and cook with the lid closed until tender. (This can vary depending on the pumpkin.) A delicious layer of caramel forms on the bottom of the pot.
  4. Either enjoy it warm or, even better, cold.
