Ingredients

  • 50 g ham (Katenschinken), diced
  • 4 tablespoon olive oil
  • 100 g onion (s), finely chopped
  • 250 g minced meat, mixed
  • 100 g tomato paste
  • 250 ml red wine or water
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 pinch (s) clove powder
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 clove (s) garlic, crushed
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ pepper, white, ground
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt

Instructions

  1. First let the ham in the pan get crispy. As soon as the cubes are fried and brown, add the olive oil and onions. Roast, stirring constantly, until the onions have turned yellow but not yet brown. Then add the minced meat and fry for another 5 minutes. Stir in tomato paste, red wine or water and all the spices except for the garlic. Now cover the pot and cook the sauce very gently over the lowest heat for about 20 minutes. After this time you have a thick and fragrant sauce from which you only have to remove the bay leaves. Then carefully season with the crushed garlic.
