Smoothie Bowl with Oatmeal, Fruit, Strawberries & Seeds

A vibrant, nutritious smoothie bowl with oatmeal, seeds, banana, orange, and strawberry. The smoothie bowl is different from the usual smoothie – it is much thicker, looks like porridge with a lot of fruit, and can be eaten with a spoon. Such an unusual and very beautiful breakfast based on “lazy oatmeal” and fresh fruit is a great way to start the day right and tasty!

Cook: 20 minutes

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • Milk – 300 ml
  • Oatmeal flakes – 3 tbsp
  • Strawberry – 100 g
  • Banana – 80 g
  • Orange – 70-80 g
  • Sunflower seeds – 2 tbsp
  • Pumpkin seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Sesame seeds – 1 tbsp

Directions

  1. Transfer the oatmeal to a deep bowl. Pour cold milk over the oatmeal, cover the bowl with a lid or cling film and refrigerate overnight. By morning, the oatmeal will swell well, and the porridge will be ready.
  2. In the morning, wash the strawberries, cut off the tails. Peel and chop the banana. Set aside 1-2 berries and a couple of banana slices for serving. Take the lazy oatmeal bowl out of the refrigerator.
  3. Combine oatmeal, strawberries, and banana in a blender bowl. Cut the orange in half, squeeze the juice from one half into a blender bowl, and set the other half aside for decoration.
  4. Add pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, and sunflower seeds. Optionally, you can set aside about a pinch of each type of seed for serving.
  5. Beat the contents on a high-speed blender for about 2 minutes. If desired, you can add a little sugar to taste, but this is not necessary at all – usually, the sweetness of the fruit is enough.
  6. The mass should be homogeneous, very thick, and rather vicious. Cut the remaining half of the orange into a thin semicircle.
  7. Place ready-made strawberry banana smoothie with oatmeal, orange, and seeds in a deep bowl. Garnish with the set-aside banana, strawberry, and orange slices, sprinkle with the set-aside pumpkin, sunflower, and sesame seeds.
  8. It will be very difficult to refuse such a beautiful breakfast based on “lazy oatmeal” and fresh fruit!
