Sour Cabbage Soup with Pork

Probably, many have tried cabbage soup in their lives. This simple soup is prepared in almost every family. After all, it is simply cooked, but it turns out to be hearty and so tasty. Most for a family dinner.

Ingredients

  • Pork – 500 Grams
  • Sauerkraut – 250 Grams
  • Water – 2.5 Liters
  • Carrots – 2 Pieces
  • Onions – 2 Pieces
  • Potatoes – 4 Pieces
  • Bay leaf – 2 pieces
  • Cloves – 3 Pieces
  • Vegetable oil – 2 Tbsp. spoons
  • Sugar – 1.5 Teaspoons
  • Salt – To taste
  • Ground black pepper – To taste
  • Vegetable oil – 2 Tbsp. spoons

Directions

  1. Wash the pork and cover with water in a saucepan. Bring broth to a boil over high heat. Then add carrots, onions, cloves, bay leaves. Cook for an hour and a half.
  2. After this time, turn off the heat. Remove the food and strain the broth.
  3. Heat the broth until it boils. Wash the potatoes, peel, cut. Add to boiling broth.
  4. One carrot and onion, peel, wash, finely chop. Fry the vegetables in oil in a skillet, then add to the broth.
  5. Cut the meat into pieces and add to the pan with the other ingredients.
  6. 10 minutes before cooking, add cabbage squeezed from moisture to the soup.
  7. Then add salt, pepper, sugar. Bring to a boil and turn off. Let the soup sit, covered, for about 15 minutes.
