Stuffed Peppers Classic Recipe

Here is a recipe for how to cook stuffed peppers (classic recipe) in sour cream and onion filling. It is incredibly tasty, not difficult at all and very satisfying. I highly recommend taking note.

Servings: 7


  • Sweet pepper – 7 Pieces
  • Minced meat – 1 Kilogram (preferably beef + pork)
  • Rice – 1 Glass
  • Onion – 1 Piece
  • Sour cream – 450 Grams
  • Salt – 1 To taste
  • Pepper – 1 To taste
  • Dill – 1 To taste


  1. Here are all the ingredients you need to replicate this dish in your kitchen.
  2. First of all, boil the rice in salted water until half cooked. It will take about 10 minutes.
  3. Combine rice with minced meat, salt and pepper to taste. You can add your favorite spices. Mix the mixture thoroughly.
  4. Wash the peppers, carefully cut off the top and remove the seeds. Rinse under running water.
  5. Fill the peppers tightly with the minced meat.
  6. Cover with the lids and set evenly in the saucepan. The number of peppers depends on the size of your pot.
  7. Now you can start filling. Peel the onion, cut into thin half rings and send to the pan with a little oil. Fry for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, over medium heat.
  8. Add a pinch of salt, pepper and chopped dill.
  9. Put out the sour cream. Mix thoroughly and simmer for 5 minutes over low heat.
  10. If the sauce is thick, you can add a little water.
  11. Put the sauce in a saucepan and send the peppers to simmer over medium heat.
  12. After 45-55 minutes you can check the readiness.
