Ingredients

  • 400 g lamb`s lettuce
  • 2 apples
  • 2 onions)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 onion (s), red
  • 2 teaspoons white wine vinegar
  • 150 ml olive oil
  • 1 bunch chives, (also frozen)
  • 100 g ham, (Katenschinken), cubes
  • 500 g cherry tomato (s), (approx. 4-5 cm diameter)
  • some water
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. First wash the lamb`s lettuce, spin dry and distribute it on 4 large flat dinner plates along the edge.
  2. Now wash the tomatoes, remove the stalk, cut into fine slices and distribute them on the plates again.
  3. Now cut the normal onions into eighths and puree them together with garlic, salt, pepper, 5 tablespoons of olive oil and chives.
  4. Now wash, core and cut the apples into thin slices.
  5. In the meantime, fry the ham cubes in 1 tablespoon of olive oil together with the finely chopped red onion in a small saucepan. Now add vinegar and 2 tablespoons of the puree and let the apples steep for about 5 minutes over medium heat, turning carefully.
  6. When the time is up, pick out the nicest slices and distribute them on the plates.
  7. Puree the rest that is still in the pot and add to the rest of the puree. Add the rest of the olive oil and some water to make a nice sauce (which can be poured).
  8. Put this over the salad plate just before serving.
