Ingredients

  • 2 veal steak (s), 15 g each
  • salt and pepper
  • some flour
  • 2 tablespoon butter, or margarine
  • 1 banana (s)
  • 1 apple

For the sauce:

  • 4 tablespoon whipped cream
  • 0.5 ½ ginger root, in syrup
  • possibly stock paste (beef stock)
  • 0.5 ½ lemon (n)
  • some meat extract
  • some cornstarch

For the set:

  • 0.5 ½ cup rice
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 banana (s)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 80 ° C to keep it warm
  2. Butter rice:
  3. Bring the rice to the boil with twice the amount of water. Cut the banana into slices and add to the rice with the butter and cook until done.
  4. Veal steaks:
  5. Rub the veal steaks with salt and lightly powder them with flour. Heat half of the butter and slowly fry the veal steaks on both sides for 7 minutes until golden brown. Then season with pepper.
  6. In the meantime, cut the banana into slices and the apple into cubes. Stew the banana slices and apple cubes in a second pan in the remaining butter until soft and pile on the veal steaks, then keep warm in the oven and let rest briefly.
  7. Ginger sauce:
  8. Cut the ginger into fine cubes. Pour the frying fat on the steaks with the cream and add the cubes. (If the frying fat is not enough, some beef paste can also be used). Mix some cornstarch with a little ginger syrup or water and add to the sauce to thicken. Season to taste with lemon juice and meat seasoning and pour over the veal steaks.
