Buns Without Oven, Stuffed with Meat and Vegetables

Ingredients

For the test:

  • Flour – 280 g
  • Butter – 50 g
  • Milk – 150 ml
  • Sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Dry yeast – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon

For filling:

  • Poultry breast – 200 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Adjika dry – to taste
  • Vegetable oil – 3-4 tbsp
  • Purple onion – 1 pc.
  • Sweet pepper – 1 pc.
  • Young cabbage – 200 g
  • Mayonnaise – 2-4 tbsp

Directions

  1. Let’s start with the test. Melt the butter. We heat the milk until slightly warm (37-40 degrees).
  2. We make a quick dough. Add yeast to warm milk, 1 tablespoon. a spoonful of flour and sugar. Leave it for 5 minutes. This way we will check and activate the yeast, make it work faster.
  3. Mix flour with salt and add melted butter. Rub it into crumbs with our hands. Combine the crumb with the dough and knead the soft dough. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Round the dough, put it in a bowl and cover with a foil. Let the dough rise (rise) for 1-1.5 hours.
  5. For the filling today I will take some vegetables and a piece of breast (I have a turkey).
  6. While the dough is brewing, mix salt with adjika, add quite a bit of vegetable oil. Cut the poultry breast in half and coat with the resulting mixture. We give the meat to marinate.
  7. We spread the dough on a surface lightly sprinkled with flour, and roll it into a layer 0.5 cm thick.Cut out identical blanks with a round cut (I have a diameter of 8 cm) or a glass. Cover the dough pieces with foil and let them rest on the table for 15-20 minutes.
  8. During this time, we will prepare the filling. Fry the breast in a little oil until tender, 6-7 minutes. After the frying pan, transfer the fried breast to the grater and cover with foil, let it rest for a few minutes.
  9. Peel the onion and bell peppers, cut into strips and quickly fry over high heat for several minutes.
  10. Finely chop the cabbage and mix with mayonnaise.
  11. Fry the bread rolls in a dry frying pan over low heat on both sides. While they are fried, they rise noticeably.
  12. Cut the poultry breast across into long thin slices. Cut the buns and add the filling: some cabbage, meat and pepper with onions. Done!
  13. Can be served for breakfast, snack or as a snack. Feel free to add Korean carrots to the filling, it also turns out very tasty.
