Ingredients

  • 300 g beef
  • 150 g suar snap peas
  • 100 g broccoli florets
  • 1 onion (s), red
  • 4 teaspoons ginger
  • 2 garlic
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 4 teaspoons spice mixture
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ chilli flakes
  • 4 teaspoons cornstarch
  • peanut oil

Instructions

  1. Cut the beef into bite-sized pieces, season with ½ tablespoon of 5-spice powder and coat lightly with 3 teaspoons of cornstarch.
  2. For the sauce, mix the soy sauce, the sugar, the chilli flakes, the remaining 5-spice powder, the rice vinegar and the remaining starch.
  3. Sear the meat briefly in a little oil until it is lightly browned on the outside and then take it out of the pan again.
  4. Fry the vegetables in the same pan until they are done, add the onion shortly before, fry them briefly and then take everything out of the pan.
  5. Also in the same pan, sweat the garlic and ginger briefly, then add the sauce mixture, cook for a short time and finally mix in the meat and vegetables so that everything is coated with the sauce.
