Cookies “Taste of Mom’s Childhood”

by Editorial Staff

When I was little, my mother used to bake these cookies! It is very tasty and does not dry for a very long time! Called “meat grinder cookies”, as the dough was passed through a meat grinder. So I decided to make such a cookie with my son. But not through a meat grinder, but roll out the dough, and let the son cut out the cookies himself. He really liked it, and he called the cookies himself – “The Taste of Mom’s Childhood”!

Ingredients

  • Butter (softened) – 250 g + for greasing the baking sheet
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Sugar – 200-300 g (1-1.5 cups)
  • Flour – 450 g (3 cups) + 20-30 g for working with dough
  • Baking powder – 0.5 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Grind eggs with sugar until white.
  2. Add softened butter. (I knead the dough in a food processor.)
  3. Sift flour, mix with baking powder and add to eggs with butter. Mix.
  4. Then lightly sprinkle the table with flour, put the dough on it and quickly knead until firm and smooth. Remove the dough for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  5. Remove the dough from the refrigerator, sprinkle a little flour on the table and roll the dough into a layer. Not very thin, otherwise the cookies will be dry.
  6. Cut the biscuits in various shapes and place on a greased baking sheet.
  7. Place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake the cookies for 15-20 minutes.

Bon Appetit!
