- 500 ml water
- 1 pack dry yeast
- 250 g spelled flour
- 250 g wholemeal spelled flour
- 100 g walnuts
- 100 g fi (s), dried
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 4 tablespoon oatmeal
- Fat for the shape

- Roughly chop the walnuts and mix thoroughly with the two types of flour, salt and yeast in a bowl. Make a small well in the mixture. Pour in the figs and honey, then pour in the water. Now knead the dough thoroughly for about 10 minutes. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise for 30 minutes. Then preheat the oven to 250 ° C top / bottom heat.
- Spread a little fat on a loaf pan and crumble the oatmeal into it. Distribute well in the pan so that the flakes adhere evenly. You can also omit this step and work with baking paper instead. I like the oatmeal because it looks and tastes good.
- After rising, roll the dough again well and distribute it evenly in the pan, then bake for 10 minutes at 250 ° C top / bottom heat. Then the bread may need one or more incisions so that it rises evenly and doesn`t break open somewhere, unless you like it. Bake the next 50 minutes at 190 ° C to the end.
- The bread goes well with strong cheese, but is also very tasty just spread with butter.
