Greek People with Meat

Your whole family will love this dish. A quick dinner for every day – Greek people with minced meat!

Ingredients

  • Minced meat – 400-500 g
  • Buckwheat (raw) – 100-150 g
  • Tomatoes – 9 pcs.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Garlic – 3-4 cloves (to taste)
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Sour cream – 3-4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Vegetable oil – for frying

Directions

  1. Boil the buckwheat until tender and prepare the tomato-sour cream sauce. First, peel the tomatoes. To do this, we make a cross-shaped incision on them from the side of the stalk, fill it with boiling water and let it stand for 5 minutes. Drain the boiling water, fill the tomatoes with cold water and let stand again for five minutes. Then we peel the tomatoes without any effort.
  2. After the tomatoes are peeled, cut them into cubes or wedges. Put the tomatoes in a frying pan with vegetable oil and cook over low heat for 10-15 minutes. Finally, add salt and chopped garlic. Add sour cream to the finished tomato sauce and mix well until smooth.
  3. While the tomato-sour cream sauce is cooling down, let’s start cooking the Greek people themselves. To do this, finely chop the onion, add salt, pepper, chopped onion to the minced meat. Squeeze out a couple of garlic cloves. We also put boiled buckwheat and eggs here. Mix everything well.
  4. With our hands we form minced meat cutlets with buckwheat and put the buckwheat in the pan.
  5. Pour buckwheat cutlets with minced meat with tomato-sour cream sauce, add half a glass of boiled water and cook the buckwheat in the sauce over medium heat for 40 minutes.
  6. The Greek people are ready! An amazingly tasty dish, I advise you to cook!
