Ingredients

  • 250 g minced meat, mixed
  • some oil or margarine for frying
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 2 tablespoon, leveled flour
  • 0.5 liter ½ water
  • 1 tablespoon mustard, medium hot
  • 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Maggi
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • some butter

Instructions

  1. Heat some margarine or oil in the pan. Fry the minced meat in it until crumbly. Cut the onion into small cubes and sweat until translucent. Push the minced meat and onions in the pan to the outside edge.
  2. Put some more fat in the middle of the pan and sweat 1 - 2 tablespoons of flour until brown while stirring. Now deglaze with about 1/2 liter of water. Bring to the boil, stirring constantly (otherwise lumps will form). Now stir in 1 tablespoon of mustard, 1 tablespoon of ketchup (better a little more than too little) and 1 tablespoon of Maggi, a pinch of salt, a little pepper and 1 teaspoon of sugar.
  3. Cover the pan with the lid and let the contents simmer over a low flame. After about five minutes the minced stick is ready. Add a little bit of butter. Caution: The butter should not cook too.
  4. Jacket potatoes or mildly salted boiled potatoes and a green pickled cucumber go well with this on the rim of the plate.
  5. Tip: If you start with the speck as soon as the potatoes are boiling, everything is ready at the same time.
