Ingredients

  • 500g flour
  • 200 ml milk
  • 1 packet yeast (dry yeast) or cube fresh yeast
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 40 g butter or mararine, soft
  • 2 g salt
  • some milk to brush on
  • 1 egg (s) for brushing
  • possibly poppy seeds or sesame seeds if required
  • possibly grease for the tray

Instructions

  1. Sift the flour into a large bowl. Make a well in the middle and add the yeast. Spread the sugar, salt and butter around the edge, pour in the milk and knead everything into a smooth dough. Let it rise for at least an hour at a warm temperature.
  2. Then roll out the dough about finger thick and cut out or shape hearts. Place these on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or greased. Whisk the milk and egg together and brush the rolls with it. If you want, you can sprinkle the rolls with poppy seeds or sesame seeds.
  3. Now bake in the preheated oven at 200 ° C for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Sufficient for approx. 20 pieces.
