Ingredients

  • 1 kg potato (s), waxy
  • 2 large onions
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 2 tablespoon sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons, leveled vegetable stock, grained
  • salt and pepper
  • curry powder
  • Herbs to taste
  • Flour for binding
  • Oil for the sheet

Instructions

  1. Finely grate the potatoes and onions and drain them well on a sieve, possibly squeezing out the grated mass. If it is still too moist, add some flour to bind it. Whisk the eggs with the sour cream, granulated broth, spices and herbs and mix this with the grating mixture.
  2. Spread on a greased baking sheet and bake for 45 - 50 minutes at 200 degrees until golden brown.
  3. If you like, you can add ham, boiled ham, sausage, meat or grated cheese to the mixture. Even smoked salmon goes well with it. There are no limits to creativity.
  4. Small hash browns can be cut out for guests.
  5. Without onions, spices and herbs, the hash brown also tastes good with compote.
