Ingredients

  • 250 g quark (20% fat)
  • 250 g quark (40% fat)
  • 100 ml sweet cream
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 3 tablespoon butter, soft
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 teaspoons paprika powder, mild
  • salt
  • pepper

Mainzer Spundekäs (with Garlic)

Instructions

  1. Mix the quark, sour cream, cream and butter to a smooth mass.
  2. Finely chop the onions and garlic and stir well into the quark mass together with the paprika powder.
  3. Season to taste with salt and pepper and leave in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  4. Serve with small pretzels or fresh pretzel and drink wine or beer with it.
  5. Tip:
  6. If you want a more intense color, add more paprika powder.
