Mashed Potatoes with “Parmesan”

Agree, mashed potatoes as a side dish are a great option. Delicious, satisfying, easy to prepare, but try to diversify it by adding grated aromatic Parmesan cheese and nutmeg.

Ingredients

  • Butter – 75 Grams
  • Parmesan cheese – 40 grams
  • Potatoes – 9 Pieces
  • Salt – 1-2 pinches
  • Ground black pepper – 2 Pinches
  • Nutmeg – 0.3 Teaspoons

Directions

  1. Peel the potatoes, wash them, cut them into large pieces and boil them until tender in salted water. Choose potatoes that are quick-digesting and starchy! Drain the water into a bowl, knead the potatoes in mashed potatoes, adding the required amount of drained potato broth.
  2. Add butter, black pepper, finely grated Parmesan cheese to the mashed potatoes (leaving a little for sprinkling the finished dish) and ground nutmeg.
  3. Mix the mashed potatoes with cheese and spices and serve hot as a side dish, sprinkle each portion with grated Parmesan.
